AnyDesk is built for helping a person at a keyboard. Vandle is built for the machine without one. If most of your sessions are servers rather than desktops, the protocols are the shorter path.
Credit where it is due
AnyDesk's codec is remarkable, the session starts almost immediately, and for attended support across bad networks it is very hard to beat.
What changes

- Nothing to install on the far side for the protocols a server already exposes.
- A shell and a file surface where a screen share would be the slow way to do the job.
- A route per connection, with a tunnelled option that needs no open inbound port.
