Bring your host, user and folder per site; the protocol becomes a row in the sidebar rather than a separate entry.
You already have a site manager full of history
FileZilla is on more machines than any other transfer client, and its queue is the reason. Vandle keeps the queue-shaped workflow and gives the connection behind it a real identity: one record, one route, every protocol.
Credit where it is due
FileZilla is free, cross-platform, and speaks the awkward corners of FTP and FTPS that newer tools quietly dropped. For a lot of hosting work it is still the shortest path.
What changes
Four things you get that you did not have.
- One connection record per machine that also opens its terminal, its desktop and its web interface, instead of one entry per tool.
- Secrets encrypted at rest with the key derived from your passphrase, decrypted only in memory.
- A route per connection, including a tunnelled path that needs no open inbound port.
- A split view between two remote hosts for moves that never touch your disk.
